The LASER system falls into class 3R, but it incorporates an embedded class 3B or 4 LASER. The following statements apply to those who do not have to access the LASER controlled area where the class 3B or 4 LASER radiation is present.
The type of LASER in class 3R is safe for the skin but is not inherently safe for the eyes (as is the case for class 1 LASER); the normal aversion responses due to bright light could be not sufficient for keeping exposure levels below limits, even in case of visible light.
Avoid staring directly at the beam or directing the beam at the eyes of other people. The radiation diffused from mirror-like surfaces is not harmful for the eyes. Wear spectacles if recommended by the manufacturer.
The maintenance operations, and all the operations requiring the access to the area where the class 3B or 4 LASER radiation is present, must be performed by qualified personnel.
For proper use follow the instructions reported in the Owner’s Manual and in this procedure.
